25599 Drug Evaluation, Comprehensive, Urine

Drug Evaluation, Comprehensive, Urine
Test Code: TOXIQL
Synonyms/Keywords
Comprehensive drug screen, amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cannabinoids, cocaine, ethanol, opiates, opioids, over-the counter, prescription, and illicit drugs.
Test Components
Test performed include:
1) Immunoassay presumptive screen for 11 drug classes, followed by quantitative confirmation by liquid chromatography methods (if needed)
2) Full-scan qualitative time-of-flight liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LC-MS-QToF) to definitively detect a broad range of drugs that comprises
168 drugs and covers over 22 classes of over-the-counter, prescription, and illicit drugs encountered in our patient population.
Useful For
The detection of commonly prescribed and over-the-counter medications and most classes of illicit drugs. The test identifies a broad spectrum of drugs and is intended to be used for toxicological evaluation of overdose/intoxication or a baseline drug profile for drug rehabilitation admissions. This test is not useful for compliance monitoring of pain management or drugs of abuse testing.

Immunoassay by AU680 Chemistry Analyzer with Emit Immunoassay followed by quantitative confirmation by LC-MS-QToF and/or LC-MS/MS, (if needed):  Liquid chromatography time-of-flight separation followed by full spectrum accurate mass spectrometry (LC-MS-QToF) definitive screen.
Test Information
This test was developed and its performance characteristics determined by Marshfield Labs.  It has not been cleared or approved by the US Food and Drug Administration.  This test is used for clinical purposes.  It should not be regarded as investigational or for research.

The test is effective on 09/07/2016.

The test detects and identifies a broad range of prescription, over-the-counter, and illicit drugs.
The test includes the following components:

1) Presumptive Immunoassay screen for 11 classes of drugs: ethanol, cannabinoids, cocaine, amphetamines, ecstasy, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, opiates, oxycodone, methadone, and buprenorphine with reflexed quantitative confirmatory testing by LC-MS-QToF and/or LC-MS/MS method confirmation upon a positive immunoassay screen. Quantitative ethanol testing perfomed by Immunoassay

2) Urine creatinine

3) Liquid chromatography separation followed by full spectrum accurate mass scan by liquid chromatography with time-of-flight accurate mass spectrometry (LC-MS-QToF) definitive screen to detect and identify 168 drugs.  Please click the following link to view the list of drugs detected by this definitive screening method: Drugs Detected by QToF Analysis Table
