Test Information
Test Information
Positives are not confirmed by an alternate method. This rapid urine drug screen should be ordered only when a rapid result is required to make decisions affecting patient care. In all other cases, order both TDPU (Targeted Drug Panel, Urine) and PCS4WO (Pain Clinic Survey 4 Without Confirmation, Urine). The remaining specimen will be stored in the laboratory for one week if add-n requested, call specimen processing (ext 1-6220).
Drug classes giving a “Positive” result can be confirmed by ordering the drug class confirmation tests separately, if desired. Note: TCAs, and PCP are not confirmed in-house, but are sent to Mayo Medical Laboratories for confirmation.
