Detection of CCP antibodies is used as an aid in the diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis.  Measurements of anti-CCP may provide important information regarding the severity and prognosis of the disease.​

Test Information
A positive result for CCP antibodies indicates a high likelihood of RA. However, not all RA patients are positive for CCP antibodies. Results of this assay should be used in conjunction with clinical findings and other serological tests.​
