Useful For
Detects IgG autoantibodies against the glomerular basement membrane (GBM), specifically the C-terminal end of type IV collagen. In conjuction with clinical findings of lung hemorrhage and rapidly progressive renal failure, autoantibodies to GBM support the diagnosis of Goodpasture's syndrome. GBM autoantibodes also may occur in other glomerular diseases.​
