Collection Processing Instructions
Refrigerate urine during collection.  Indicate collection time period on the card. The total volume collected must be measured, recorded, and included with the test request. Aliquot from a well-mixed 24 hr urine collected without preservative. If multiple tests are needed on the urine collection, acceptable alternate preservatives include 7 g sulfamic acid, 20 mL 6N HCl or 10 g boric acid.
