Collection Processing Instructions
Marshfield and other centers: Collect Gray Top tube and transport to lab promptly after collection.
Centrifuge and remove plasma from the cells within 60 minutes.
Specimen must be drawn WITHOUT a tourniquet and WITHOUT hand clenching.​
 
Flambeau Hospital: Collect Sodium-heparin Green Top or Lithium Heparin (GTT) and transport to lab promptly after collection.
Specimen must be drawn WITHOUT a tourniquet and WITHOUT hand clenching.​
