Collection Processing Instructions
​Nasal specimen collected with a COPAN Dual Swab. Leave swabs attached to the red cap. Do not cut or break swabs off to place them in the tube. Alternatively, collect a single white-capped ESwab.

The performance characteristics of this test have not been established in patients less than 2 years of age.


​Additional aerobic culture and antibiotic sensitivity testing can be performed on positive specimens if the lab is contacted within 72 hours of specimen collection
